August Premier was formed by merging 2 sets of friends on opposite sides of Chicago who also happened to play totally different styles of music. What resulted from the ensuing mixture was one of the hottest punk bands to rise through the ranks of the enormous Chicago punk rock scene. When we heard this band on the Plea for Peace/Take Action compilation, we got in touch and everything since then has been like magic. Chris had been playing in Allister but left the band to make August Premier his full time committment. This 12 track cd was one of the last records to be made at Rosebud Studios in Chicago with Rory Phillips of Slowreader producing. Hooks, riffs, you name it, it's in here.
