  • Germany is a wild and wonderful place. There are some really confusing things about it, which is mainly translation related. We'll see band names on stickers posted in venues like "Dickfoot" and "Bent Cross" which is just the Bad Religion logo diagonal. It's hilarious. The architecture is beautiful and people here LOVE punk rock so it's great to play for everyone here.

Some things people from the states, specifically people not in bands, don't hear about are the infamous "German Compliments." A German compliment is a very nice thing someone will tell you followed by something extremely rude, honest and mean. They say what they want and you'll find out instantly.

"Seven years ago I made a premeditated decision to sign to FBR for the sole reason that one day, years from that point in time a band called The Swellers would be sharing a roster spot. That is my favorite part of being on FBR. My SECOND favorite part is that while this label, like all successful labels, is a business, it feels and functions more like a family. A family business, like Papa Johns… or The Kardashians."

Look for members of The Fueled By Ramen Street Team passing out the postcards above with excerpts from the interviews!

  • Please…PLEASE, join me this Thursday as I play a handful of Christmas songs among a few This Prov tunes!

I’ll be doing the set through a site called Stage It. There are limited tickets available so don’t miss out. It may seem weird to pay for an online performance, but I’ve done one of these before and the thing I really love about it is the intimacy. It gives me a chance to really interact and chat with everyone. It feels special.

But the thing that really makes this special -  all proceeds will benefit Charity Water. This is a great organization that works to provide clean drinking water to people in developing countries. If Christmas is about giving, than this is a pretty sweet way to do so!

Check it out, buy a ticket, and I’ll see you there,

  • After nearly 6 years of touring nonstop, The Swellers are proud to announce that we are finally doing our first proper co-headline tour in the US (and Toronto!). Our friends You Me At Six are joining us as headliners on the bill, as well as special guests Twin Atlantic and We Are The Ocean. You will finally be able to see The Swellers play a long set, including material from all of our releases, in really rad, intimate venues. Now it may seem obvious to some of you, but this is where you come in.

You buying a ticket is not only guaranteeing that you'll get to see The Swellers and all the great bands playing on our tour (some of these dates are going to sell out FAST, can't guarantee you will be able to buy tickets at the door), but it is also casting a vote.
