News - The Swellers
Every time we're in Massachusetts we stay with our friends in the Cote family. I think they may hold the record for people we've stayed with on tour the most! At least 20 or more times!
Now they have 2 dogs and 3 kids. We eat homemade waffles each morning. Talk about Pokemon. Go swimming. It's pretty amazing.
I think we'll be staying here at least 3 nights on this tour. That's the best part of not getting hotels, you make some lifelong friends.
One thing people don’t realize about touring is how much free time you have once you show up to the venue. We’re on an east coast tour with Daytrader & Fake Problems right now so the drives are short which makes us have even more time to kill!
To fill that void we brought our favorite game with us: Corn Hole! Also known as Corn Toss or Bean Bags. You have two boards, set them about 20 feet away from each other, 2 people on a team and if you land on the board it is 1 point, get it in the hole it’s 3 points!
Ryan and I teamed up to face Anto & Evan (Into It. Over It.) and beat them 5 or 6 times in a row. Ryan is oddly fantastic at the game and got 4 corn holes in a row so he got to put his name on the back of the board.
We are sending out an open invitation to anyone who wants to challenge
The day before our tour with Fake Problems and Daytrader we headed to Chicago to do a photoshoot for Glamour Kills. We have something really cool planned with them for the back to school season.
The photoshoot was mostly outside when it was 100 degrees and between every few shots we'd have to wipe our faces with paper towel. The shots on the roof were pretty amazing and involved our favorite game called Corn Hole (bean bag toss) and we had some real fun with it.
You guys will be stoked when you see the final product. Until then make sure you pick up our new album Good For Me at store.theswellers.com.
