ANDREW COOK OF A ROCKET TO THE MOON
INTERVIEWED BY JOSH DUN OF TWENTY ONE PILOTS

Your name is Andrew Cook. Have you ever picked up any ladies by saying "I'm Andrew Cook, the amazing cook", and then cooked them dinner?

Not that blatantly, but I have used my cooking abilities to try and charm an odd lady or two. Not odd in a descriptive sense… well, you know what I mean.

Speaking of cooking, what's the most impressive dish you've made?

Probably seafood fra diavolo. That's one of my favorites, over linguini.

I hear you're into writing. If you had to write a 10 minute film, who is the hero, who is the villain, and what is the twist at the end?

I am indeed. In my 10 minute short, the hero is me, the villain is also me, and everybody loses. The twist at the end is that it's MY head in the box, not Gwyneth's.

You've "managed" a couple of different bands. What are the main differences of doing that as opposed to playing in one?

I think the biggest difference is that as an artist, you have people to take the blame for you. When you're a manager, it's often your job to take the blame for your artist. Oh, and as the manager, you're the one who buys drinks, rather than having drinks bought for you (drink responsibly friends!).

Are you into any sports?

Yes, soccer is my favorite, as anyone who follows me on twitter knows. I have been playing in a league this summer in LA, which has been a blast. I'm also a huge New England Patriots and Boston Celtics fan.

Out of any drummers, alive or dead, what 4 drummers would you choose to play on your soccer team with you?

For guys who are alive, I'd say Dave Grohl, because he would be an excellent captain. Thomas Lang, because he's just built like an athlete. I feel like he'd be a goalie. From the dead category, I'd take Keith Moon and John Bonham, because I feel like British guys from that era just had it built into them.

Out of any song ever written, what is your favorite song to play on the drums?

What a difficult question to answer! "False Alarm" by The Bronx.

What is your biggest fear?

Sharks. How funny that I'm answering these questions during Shark Week, or as I call it, Nightmare Week.

If you could be any character in fiction, who would you be?

Another nearly impossible question to answer… I've gotta go superhero on this one. I'll take Bruce Wayne for 800, Josh.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role as you?

Jake Johnson, who plays Nick Miller on "New Girl."
